Fight Club reunion for Norton & Pitt in State of Play

Edward Norton has joined his other personality in Kevin Macdonald's film adaptation of the British mini-series.

Edward Norton has joined the already cast Brad Pitt in State of Play, marking the first time the pair have worked together since the cult classic Fight Club in 1999. The Universal Pictures movie will see The Last King of Scotland director Kevin Madonald helm from a Matthew Carnahan script with a recent re-write from The Bourne Ultimatum'sTony Gilroy. The movie which is an adaptation of a 2003 British miniseries, will follow a team of investigate reporters who secretly work alongside a police detective in order to solve the murder of a congressman€™s mistress. Norton plays said congressman whose quick political rise is threatened by this investigation whilst Pitt plays a politician-turned-journalist who heads the investigation and was once close to him. We all know Norton and Pitt have superb chemistry together and it was one of the fundamental reasons why Fight Club was such a success and when you put that alongside Kevin Macdonald and his awesome movie The Last King of Scotland (which sometimes gets unfairly shadowed by Forest Whitaker's amazing performance) then we could be set for one hell of a movie right here. Shooting begins in November and I think this is one not to miss next year. source - coming soon, variety
