Disney have released the first official production images from
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides in the latest issue of
USA Today. The image above is also our first look at new love interest,
Penelope Cruz, as the con-artist and 'wicked former flame' of Jack Sparrow, and the daughter of the villainous Blackbeard (
Ian McShane). We also have more detail on the plot... The movie is said to begin... "On a blustery gray morning in the Painted Hall of the Old Royal Naval College, Johnny Depp's seafarer is being dragged forward by guards for an audience with King George II (
Richard Griffiths), who wants him to seek the Fountain of Youth.'' The King has already hired Barbossa (
Geoffrey Rush) for the same mission.
The film opens May 20th, and we will get a glimpse at the final product on Monday when the first trailer is released - attached to prints of Tron Legacy.
