First Look At Superman In Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice
We've seen the new Batman, but what of Henry Cavill's first sequel-showing in costume?
DCToday saw the much-anticipated first look at what Henry Cavill is going to look like in the upcoming showdown to end them all, Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. Of course the vast majority of us are still clawing at the coattails of the Man of Steel's red cape to get a glimpse of what Jesse Eisenberg is going to look like as Lex Luthor, but until then we've got this fantastic shot that confirms the return of the New 52-style suit that he wore in the previous movie. Courtesy of USA Today, director Zack Snyder commented the following on how production is going: "Dawn of Justice' continues to immerse Superman on Earth by working at the Daily Planet as Clark Kent along with Lois Lane (Amy Adams) and Perry White (Laurence Fishburne). But it also takes him to new environments such as Gotham City and introduces larger threats, including Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg). The debuting heroes Superman meets will affect his perspective on Earth and on the ones he loves, and Snyder feels his convictions will be drawn into question as well." Whilst saying that Gal Gadot was still training to get to a suitable size for her role and is yet to begin filming, another aside further confirmed the Dark Knight Returns comic story arc, with Snyder adding "It's cooler to see a crusty old Batman beating the snot out of guys". Warner Bros. And if you were wondering what the two costume-reveals look like next to each other, well... Warner Bros. It's pretty safe to say this is going to be one hell of a showdown, even if some people are yet to be convinced that the Man of Steen version of Superman isn't going to pop Batman's head off with a flick of his little finger within the opening few minutes. Batman Vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice is scheduled for release on the 6th of May 2015 - plenty time to add more fuel to the blazing fires of hype and speculation. What do you guys make of the returning costume, and how our two titans are looking now? How can they possibly portray the fight in a way that makes sense to the previous film?
