Here's our first look at the new
Toy Story short '
Hawaiian Vacation' that will be attached to prints of Cars 2, opening June 24th - and a tale that looks to reunite the majority of the players from Toy Story 3. Director
Gary Rydstrom (previously made Pixar short 'Lifted) told
EW that in the short;
"Woody becomes kind of like whats-his-name on Love Boat...Captain Stubing! As toys who get played with all the time, they have a pretty good imagination, when its time for a little playacting, theyre good at it.

couple of months ago we heard that the movie would follow Ken & Barbie on an adventure to Hawaii...
Hawaii Vacation of course isn't the only continuing Toy Story adventure we will see this year as a second, currently plot-unknown short will premiere ahead of Disney's The Muppets, that's released in December. Pixar's intent seems to be to keep the beloved character's in the minds of audiences before eventually giving us a fourth film towards the back-end of the decade. And honestly, we don't mind Pixar rolling out these characters as shameless bait for us to see Cars 2. It will at least give us a reason to feel better about handing over our cash!
