Franco Joining Stiller and Baumbach for WHILE WE'RE YOUNG

Writer/Director Noah Baumbach is getting back together with his Greenberg star Ben Stiller according to a story broken at Vulture, and newly appointed Oscar co-host James Franco will be joining him for another award bothering effort called While We're Young. Offers have also gone out to Cate Blanchett and another Greenberg alumni Greta Gerwig to join this tale about 'how a hip, young, Brooklyn couple (probably Gerwig and Franco) inspires an uptight documentary filmmaker and his wife (which must mean Stiller and Blanchett, if she signs) to loosen up.' Very early days on this one and the news follows hot on the heels of the Spirit awards nominations announced yesterday where Greenberg scored some top nominations including Best Feature, Best Male Lead (Ben Stiller), Best Female Lead (Greta Gerwig) and Best Cinematography (Harris Savides). This project sounds like it could be a spirited sequel - successful, young couples and their problems. This one could film early next year and interestingly, Jennifer Jason Leigh was to be offered the Blanchett role until she and director Baumbach divorced.
