Friday The 13th Movies: 13 Things You Didn't Know

8. Several Chapters Do Not Take Place On Friday The 13th

Friday the 13th - Saturday the 14th It's easy to assume each and every Friday the 13th movie takes place on Friday the 13th, but that's not the case. Friday the 13th and Friday the 13th Part II both take place on Friday the 13th. However, Part III begins immediately after the end of Part II and continues through Saturday the 14th and Sunday the 15th. Part IV begins immediately after Part III, which means it begins on Sunday the 15th and mostly takes place on Monday the 16th. In Part VI, one of the deputies mentions the date as Friday the 13th, making most of this movie take place on that fateful day. It's hard to place the date of other chapters in the series, but Part VII shows a calendar in the beginning with Friday the 13th as the date (the date telekinetic Tina kills her father by drowning him in Crystal Lake). However, that scene is only a segue into the "present" which takes place many years later. So, to recap, only F13 Part I, Part II, and Part VI definitely take place on Friday the 13th, with Part VII having a small portion of the film on every slasher fan's favorite holiday.
