Friday The 13th Series: Jason's 10 Best Kills

Friday the 13th Part 3 was a series landmark primarily for introducing the hockey mask, but it’s also one of the most entertaining entries of the series. It was originally released in old school red-and-green glasses 3D, and back then no one came out with any codswallop about depth of image; all the format was for was throwing things in the audiences’ face.

Friday 3 revels in this – and in a strange way, it’s almost more fun seeing it in boring old 2D today, as this only further highlights its unabashed goofiness.

There are a bunch of gleefully daft 3D gags, with everything from yo-yos to washing poles flying at the screen, and in another memorable death scene Jason squeezes a victim’s head so hard his eyeball flies out. But it’s the harpoon that comes soaring at Vera (Catherine Parks) and hits her square in the eye that really hits home the hardest.
