Frozen 2 Review: 5 Ups & 5 Downs

3. It's Beautifully Animated

Unsurprisingly, Frozen 2 is an eye-wateringly beautiful movie, and without question one of the year's most visually stunning films, animated or otherwise.

If you've rewatched the original Frozen lately, it becomes clear just how far animation has come in even just six years, for Frozen 2's characters look so much more expressive, and its lush, vast environments even more majestic.

But the various musical sequences is where the animation truly shines, allowing the filmmakers to make the most of Frozen's fantastical themes and aesthetic, especially during the jaw-droppingly beautiful show-piece for Show Yourself.

While Frozen 2 for the most part isn't an improvement over its predecessor, the more ambitious and artful visuals most certainly are.
