7. Ed Harris & Andy Garcia Are Totally Wasted

Disaster movies often attract celebrated actors because they give the film easy marquee appeal while the actor gets a nice, tasty payday for generally not having to put much effort in.

That's certainly the case here, with the brilliant Ed Harris and Andy Garcia both being wasted in supporting roles as the U.S. Secretary of State and President respectively.

They don't get much to do other than rattle off exposition and keep the excuse for a plot moving forward, though Harris does get a few giggle-worthy scenes later on that at least rise above blandly forgettable.

Hopefully they both at least enjoy the dumptrucks of cash they were presumably paid to appear in this dreck.
