Geostorm Review: 2 Ups & 8 Downs

1. There Isn't Even A Geostorm In The Film

And perhaps the strangest thing of all about this film is that it doesn't even fully deliver on the promise of its title.

Though there are isolated weather disasters shown in the build-up, the titular event never actually takes place, with the Geostorm appearing on a countdown timer in the third act but never actually coming to fruition before the day is inevitably saved.

It would've been potentially awesome to see all these different weather events annihilating the world while Gerard Butler and his team try to stop it, but apparently you'd need an Avengers-sized budget for that to happen. What a missed opportunity.

Terrible though Geostorm is in almost every regard, there are a few things that prevent it from being a one-star dumpster fire...
