Ghost In The Shell: 15 Recent Sci-Fi Movies That Were Far Superior

Don't be fooled by its underwhelming box office performance: Edge of Tomorrow is every bit as awesome as a Groundhog Day-inspired sci-fi action film about Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt staring down an alien invasion can and should be.

Doug Liman directs the Hell out of this film with manic energy and a knowing sense of humour, while pin-sharp editing ensures that the various death sequences (which allow Cruise's character to return to a fixed point in the past) never feel repetitive in the slightest.

Cruise and Blunt are magnetic here, and it's little surprise that a sequel is reportedly in the works, thanks to the movie's solid performance on home video and the passionate demands of fans.
