2. Michael Pitt As Hideo Kuze
The end of the trailer also gives fans their first definitive glimpse of the movie's antagonist, Hideo Kuze, as played by the terrific Michael Pitt.
Of course, Kuze does not appear in the 1995 anime but rather the Stand Alone Complex series, and will likely be serving as a replacement for the movie's Puppetmaster.
When the Major stumbles upon his base, he tells her, "Everything they told you was a lie" and "They did not save your life...they stole it."
Kuze can only be seen in shadow, but his body looks suitably grotesque and Pitt's vocal cadence is fantastically sinister. He could be really great here.
