16. Slow-Mo. Lots Of It.
It seems that the movie is probably going to feature its fair share of slow-motion, and this is sure to prove divisive to fans and general cinemagoers alike.
There's a clear irony in the fact that the original anime heavily influenced The Matrix, which of course introduced bullet-time and slow-motion action to the masses, and now it seems like GITS has come full circle by basically emulating The Matrix with its wall-running and slow-mo gunplay.
While in the anime The Major largely crept in and out when performing hits, here it looks like she gets her hands much dirtier, which is sure to rub purists the wrong way.
