12. How Does Rowan Suddenly Become The Most Powerful Ghost Ever?
Here's a question for you: by what process does a hotel janitor and absolute weirdo who is so unremarkable he decides to end the world to get some attention suddenly become a diety-like power when he dies? There must be a trigger, right? Because there are lots of normal ghosts in the film, and there's definitely a hierarchy of power between them (hence the likes of Gozer, Zuul and Vigo ascend to the top).
Surely some sort of ritual would be involved? Some sort of empowerment ceremony that would explain how he suddenly, inexplicably managed to gain the same powers as Gozer.... Right?
Nope. If you're a writer of Ghostbusters, you simply miss out the explanation stage and assume that viewers will accept the massive powerset he wields for no reason after he dies. They didn't even try and suggest he was somehow charging his supernatural powers by opening the rift to the other side (which would have taken possibly a single line of dialogue). It's just stupid.
