Ghostbusters: Afterlife Review: 5 Ups & 5 Downs

2. There Are Some Fun Surprises

While the majority of Afterlife offers very few surprises at all, there are a couple of unexpected cameo appearances later in the film sure to give keen-eyed viewers a laugh.

The trailers heavily teased the return of a certain legacy villain, and needless to say audiences are likely to be both amused and surprised at who appears to play them - though they're layered under so much makeup that you couldn't really be blamed for missing the actor in question.

Elsewhere a certain Oscar-winning performer also makes a fleeting appearance in the film's final passage, which while a fairly disposable cameo should give most audiences who notice quite the chuckle indeed.

They're hardly worth seeing the movie for alone, but still represent it at its most genuinely unexpected.
