Ghostbusters: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best
1. Kevin Beckman (Chris Hemsworth)
And finally, we come to Ghostbusters' easy MVP, the gang's bone-headed secretary Kevin, who is hired only because a) he was the single applicant and b) he's drop-dead gorgeous.
Chris Hemsworth clearly relishes the idea of satirising his hunky superhero image by playing a total goofball here, not merely going silly with the part but straight-up brain damaged.
While some will argue that the character is making fun of men in order to push an agenda, the more sensible answer here is simply that it was a fun way to undermine the sexy, ditzy female secretary stereotype. Hemsworth has an absolute ball with the role, especially in the later stages when he gets possessed by Rowan, and it seems certain that he'll probably get a bigger part in the sequel, given how universally acclaimed his performance has been here.
