Ghostbusters: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best
2. Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon)
Easily the strongest of the four Ghostbusters, Jillian is unquestionably a star-making character for Saturday Night Live performer Kate McKinnon, who brings her A-game to every scene and delivers even the lesser dialogues with outrageous aplomb.
From her unconventional look to her demented way with words, she's the effortless standout above her more famous co-stars and steals every single scene she's in. There's an infectious outrageousness to everything she does, and while this could easily have become irritating or tiresome over the course of a two-hour movie, McKinnon manages to trout out a consistent bag of diversely quirky tricks that make her the movie's real protagonist in a number of ways.
She certainly does funnier and more interesting work than either Wiig or McCarthy, on who the movie is mostly being marketed.
