Glass Trailer 2 Reactions: 6 Ups & 3 Downs

Ups...

6. The Strong Focus On Character Development

The trailer makes it abundantly clear that Glass is going to be jam-packed with character development, and makes a pretty solid argument that it's going to be thoughtful and maybe even emotionally resonant.

Bringing back Charlayne Woodard as Mr. Glass' (Samuel L. Jackson) mother is an incredibly smart move, and should give Shyamalan plenty to play around with.

Elsewhere it's implied that Dunn is basically sneaking around his family as he plays hero, and as for Kevin, it's clear we're going to see a greater number of the 24 personalities which comprise The Horde.

Considering how many big-budget comic book movies tend to forget about character arcs and basic audience investment in these super-powered entities, it's refreshing that Glass seems to be a character-driven superhero film first and foremost.
