There we were thinking the only the gloriously-gory Mortal Kombat franchise could bring us the giddily enjoyable delights of heads being torn off as all manner of spectral forces detach them from their bodies. Not this time round though, as following an exhaustive battle he approaches the enemy Muto from behind and prepares to deliver what looks like a snap of the jaw, pulling the beast's mouth apart farther and farther. However it's then that he pushes the beast down, charges up his atomic-breath attack, and blasts straight through its mouth and out its neck. Needless to say it's one of the most satisfying moments in the film, and the duration it goes on for is just perfect, with Godzilla's strength slowly pulling the creatures head off thanks to the ever-decaying flesh making it more and more loose. Dunking his trophy in the sea he lets out an almighty roar, instantly creating one of the best monster-movie-moments in recent memory, and provoking a crowd-pop bigger than that epic sword-swipe-in-space from Pacific Rim.
