Godzilla Trailer: 10 Most Epic Moments

1. Godzilla Revealed

Finally, the last shot of the trailer is naturally the big money shot. After teasing the audience all throughout, the gods are merciful and we get our first clear shot of Godzilla€™s face. Look at that sweet mug. Now that is Godzilla; bigger and meaner than ever before. It is a nice combination of classic and updated elements to bring the king into the modern age. Granted, our one good shot is slightly obscured by closing doors in the foreground, but this is actually great because the shot is from the ground level as people take shelter in what is probably a disaster bunker or something. It makes Godzilla that much more threatening and imposing. Plus, the way the closing doors are used makes it seem as if the filmmakers are saying, €œThat€™s all you get for now.€ Just an awesome shot all around, and a great tease to end the trailer on. So that was the new Godzilla trailer. Very rarely does a trailer induce chills on the level this one did. It is very well structured, and the sense of dread is so palpable. The effects look great for the most part, with just a few that look a tad unfinished. If you had reservations about this new take on Godzilla, this trailer should put some of those fears to rest. Director Gareth Edwards looks like he is doing an awesome job creating a believable reality involving such a fantastical situation. If this trailer is an accurate representation of the actual film, it could be one of the best blockbusters of the year. Bring on May 16th!
