Now Kong has a new home, full of weird and wonderful creatures of its own, the stage is set for potential new adventures in this strange environment. Godzilla vs. Kong is likely not the last we have seen of the Warbats, and just like with Kong: Skull Island there is an entire ecosystem and mythology that warrants even more detail.
The very idea of a Hollow Earth has a distinct Journey to the Centre of the Earth feel about it. The prolific volcanic activity and unusual wildlife draw striking similarities with Jules Verne's science fiction classic, emphasising just what sensational potential for new storylines the Hollow Earth has.
It seems unlikely that Kong's reign over the underground world will go unchallenged. Godzilla himself might decide that he wants a piece of the Hollow Earth.
Alternatively, Apex may persist with their plans to eliminate the Titans and find a way to get some Mecha-weaponry down there. They clearly have the technology needed to get there and back. Be it a threat from within or beyond, Titan or otherwise, the Hollow Earth is a new location rich with opportunity to introduce new monsters, new threats, and new additions to the franchise's mythos.
