Golden Globes 2021: The Snubs And Surprises

1. Snub: Tom Pelphrey - Best Supporting Actor

When Ozark continued to pick up numerous nominations for its third season at the Emmys last September, it was clear the show was popular, which is why it was so bizarre to see the Season Three standout Tom Pelphrey absent from the Supporting Actor ballot. Now, months after fans and critics cried afoul of that omission, we're at the Golden Globes and the same thing has happened again!

Playing Wendy's brother Ben who suffers from Bipolar, Pelphrey gave a brutally honest and extreme performance that wowed audiences and helped make Season Three of Ozark so popular. It is sad to see another awards show believe that the only cast members present are Jason Bateman, Laura Linney and Julia Garner, as great as they all are.

Pelphrey managed to pick up a Critics Choice Award nomination earlier this year and that is likely to be his one major nod this awards season which is a shame for such a phenomenal performance that has gone largely unappreciated.
