Though not much can be said about Gone Girl past the Earth-shattering gear-shift half-way through, it's absolutely a movie that is going to reward second and possibly even third viewings. The sheer nature of the narrative, perspective-based as it is, and keen to guide viewers down the rabbit-hole on a first viewing, will open up immensely on viewing number two, as the cards have already been played and viewers can begin re-interpreting the information being laid out to them. Furthermore, given how the marketing didn't exactly play totally fair with letting audiences know what they were getting themselves into, once viewers appreciate what Fincher is trying to do, they're likely to just relax and soak it all in more the second time around. Given the sheer insanity of what Fincher has pulled off here, it's likely to do fine repeat business everywhere it's shown. Have you seen Gone Girl yet? What did you think?
