Grindhouse: The Sequel

grindhouse.jpgRobert Rodriguez has spoke on the possibilities of turning his next project Grindhouse into a franchise, which should surprise absolutely no-one. Most of the movies in his filmography have been given the sequel treatment. He seems to have a hard time letting his movies go. This is what Rodriguez told MTV found through Time Out and Filmstalker... 'The best thing about Grindhouse is how easily it can be a franchise...We can do kung fu, blaxploitation, you name it.' He's right and I think there probably will be future movies in this Grindhouse saga. The project gives them the creative freedom to do any type of film they want and you just know that those fake trailers in between the Rodriguez and Tarantino features are going to be kick ass. Who doesn't want to see Cowgirls from Sweden made into a feature? He said back in July... 'If those trailers are great enough, they might be part of the feature we do for the next Grindhouse,' I think both guys will want to do their own projects before delving back into this franchise. Rodriguez will no doubt be shooting Sin City 2 next year, and hopefully (can't tell ya how much I would kill to see it) Tarantino will be able to get most if not all.... Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzennger, Sly Stallone and Michael Madsen together (among others) to shoot Inglorius Bastards.
