Guardians Of The Galaxy: 10 Marvel Cameos We Need To Happen (And How)

10. Nova

One thing we do know is that the Nova Corps are set to be a large part of Guardians Of The Galaxy. In the comics, the Corps are Xandar€™s police/military elite force, capable of tapping into the Nova Force, a cosmic energy source that provides them with super powers (a little like DC€™s Green Lantern Corps). Naturally, there€™s a human member of the Nova Corps, one Richard Rider, known to Marvel readers for a number of years now simply as Nova, the Human Rocket. Nova is a fairly important part of the cosmic stories that have been told in and around the Guardians Of The Galaxy comics for the last few years, and we wouldn€™t put it past Kevin Feige and his cabal of Marvel creatives to have decided to sneak him into Guardians Of The Galaxy to give a sly nod to those stories, and to fans in the process. All it would take is a swift introduction, Peter Quill to Richard Rider, as the only two humans on Xandar, and Bob€™s your mother€™s brother. Of course, if the movie is as big a hit as they€™re hoping, there€™s a whole load of spin off possibilities. We could see the Human Rocket in his own movie mini-franchise before the decade is out.
