Gamora, who is to be played by the extremely gorgeous and talented Zoe Saldana... actually, we could probably stop right there. There's your reason why she's going to be a very popular character. However, let us elaborate... If there's one thing comic book fans enjoy, it's a beautiful female who can kick ass - Gamora is exactly that. In the trailer, we see her giving a sexy but very devilish smile towards the Nova Corps officers who have captured and arrested her, followed by scenes of her demonstrating some seriously kick-ass combat ability. Although there's not much expectation regarding her character, and not an awful lot of fuss has been made about her casting or the inclusion of Gamora in the movie, there's no doubt that she will emerge as one of the most popular elements of Guardians of the Galaxy. She's also Thanos' adoptive daughter (in the comics, at least) and this could lead to her having a much more prominent and, possibly, sinister role than people are expecting her to have - but that won't make her any less popular. Of course, the green skin will also make her extremely popular for some small sections of the movie's fan-base. That kind of fetish isn't unheard of, after all...
