2. The Team Dynamic Feels Fresh
Marvel StudiosWith Guardians being a team movie, the inevitable and unfair comparisons to Avengers Assemble will be drawn, but this doesn't feel remotely the same. To use a football/soccer metaphor, if the Avengers are Manchester United or Barcelona, then the Guardians Of The Galaxy are St. Pauli FC. They're The Stones to the Avengers' Beatles. We came away already imagining what it's going to be like when the two teams finally meet and these difference become more apparent. What is someone like Rocket Raccoon going to think of the eternal boy scout Captain America? And will he feel put out when Groot and The Hulk inevitably become the best of buds? Having a group of characters this different to everything else they've done so far injects a lot of anticipation for the upcoming crossover movies into the proceedings and we personally can't wait to see Gamora and Black Widow throw down over who the alpha female of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is.
