Looking a bit like DC's Dr. Manhattan, Vance Astro aka Major Victory was the Captain America of the Guardians, and even once borrowed Caps shield. As of one of the founding members of the team, Major Victory has been crucial to most of the team's stories - plus he looks pretty amazing too!

Vance Astrovik was the youngest man ever to take part in the astronaut training program - sent on the United States's first interstellar mission, codenamed Project: Starjump. During the long mission, Vance was kept alive with an adamantium containment suit and preservative blood. He was driven mad by spending long periods of time on his own, but discovered that he had limited psychic powers. By the time Astro arrived on Centauri-IV, nearly 1,000 years later, he was in full control of his powers. Similar to the likes of Martinex, Major Victory could be vying for Star-Lord's top spot, and with his big blue suit, chances are he would win in the fight. Also appearing in the 2014 series Guardians 3000, writer Dan Abnett called Astro "the inspirational spirit" of the team," so we can't move forward without him.
