3. Some Backstory On Rocket
One of the most surprisingly emotionally charged moments from the first Guardians movie was when Rocket drunkenly ranted about how it feels to be a genetic creation. Talking racoons are clearly not the work of nature, and the films have expertly kept Rocket's past enough of a mystery to justify his standoffish dialogue and aloof personality. However, fans need to find out where he came from eventually.
Rumours are currently circulating that the creator of the foul-mouthed racoon will be making their way into the sequel and will be played by none other than Mark Hamill. This is, of course, a great source of excitement, as Hamill is always a ton of fun - especially when he's in space. But, whether it happens or not doesn't matter; we just want to know a little more about this fan-favourite character's dark past.
This backstory has the potential to be a whole arc for Rocket, and the group, which could lead to an incredibly moving movie. It's rare to see vulnerability from the "trash panda", so it would make for a satisfying change to the dynamic.
