4. Groot Ages Throughout The Film

The Theory: Though appearing in baby form at the start of the movie, Groot would progressively age throughout as a running gag, before near enough returning to his adult state at the end of the film.

The Truth: Groot remains a baby for 99.9% of the film, though James Gunn does give fans a little treat in one of the mid-credits scenes, by having the loveable tree creature become an awkward, gangling teenager to hilarious effect.

So, though Groot may be back to normal size by the time Infinity War kicks off next year, his form doesn't constantly change throughout the film, and there's no running joke about his growth as many expected.
