Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2: 25 WTF Moments
4. Why Can't Ego Sense His Own Brain?
The whole plot to sneak inside Ego's planet to destroy him from the inside is obviously very smartly considered, as it means taking out the villain at his source and making sure he has no chance of escaping the killer blow.
It's also ridiculous.
If Ego is basically a god (small G, Peter), and can manifest as anything he wants, as well as hypnotising other part-Celestials and various other superpowers, why the hell can't he just look inside the core of his own planet creation to see what the Guardians are trying to do to his brain immediately?
Why would there be a disconnect between the sentience of his actual brain - which is his true self - and the humanoid projection it creates? Why wouldn't the brain be able to "see" the bomb that's about to be planted on it?
