23. Knight Rider

When Star-Lord is aware of Ego's status as his real father, he shares a touching (but very funny) moment with Gamora, as she relates her favourite story about his childhood. He used to tell his friends that his real father was David Haselhoff (who Gamora accidentally, hilariously calls Xardu Hasselfrau) and that he had a talking car that went on adventures.

That's obviously a call-back to Knight Rider (whose ridiculousness Gamora also highlights in a dead-pan take-down), which starred Hasselhoff as Michael Knight. It's a further delightful 80s nostalgic reference in a movie that clearly loves the decade (but is fully aware of how silly it was).
