11. The Zune Gag

The question of how the third movie (and any subsequent ones) would deal with music once the second Awesome Mix was finished with (since Meredith wouldn't have hidden further mixes for her son's future presents), has been a pressing one for a while.

The answer comes in Vol 2 in a gag aimed at Microsoft, claiming that everyone on Earth has Zunes in 2014. An iPod would have been far too easy and far less funny.

Peter Quill's excitement ("THREE HUNDRED SONGS?!") says everything about why this is important for the future of the Guardians franchise. Plus it means we'll get songs from between 1984 and 2014 rather than just nostalgic tracks.
