We've already seen some talk from James Gunn about how uneasy some of them feel about being part of a team and the responsibilities involved, and obviously the cracks are going to show.

This moment probably comes from Nebula's grand epiphany that she can belong as well when Gamora tries to convince her to let go of her hang-ups. The background suggests this happens in Ayesha's palace interestingly, though presumably after the Guardians have taken her down.

Or maybe this is Nebula refusing to join up after all: her arc makes more sense for her to be a lone wolf in Infinity War after all, so it would fit.
