Why?

Basically, because he tried to usurp Yondu (and if he kills him, he's even more likely to be killed in retaliation by Star-Lord). Taserface is no more than a glorified mook - albeit on a different power rung to the rest of the Ravagers, but not because of much more than his ambition.

And think about it this way: the trailers have already shown Ayesha commanding an armada of drone ships to fight Star-Lord, Rocket and Groot (at the very least) inside the Celestial. This very much feels like her "fine, I'll do it myself" moment after the Ravagers have already failed. Presumably, just after she's killed Taserface for his failure...
