Why?

Though it's tempting to suggest that Mantis' defiance of Ego - she has to align herself with the Guardians somehow after being in his service initially - makes her a perfect candidate for the face-turn heroic sacrifice trope, she's not going anywhere.

She's too much of a useful new character, and killing her off here would be like killing Nightcrawler in X-Men 2: which is basically the model for her role. She might not be a great fighter, but she's destined to become an increasingly important part of the Guardians (and she could possibly give Drax a means to find new happiness in the long term).

It might be a red herring, but Pom Klementieff has already basically been confirmed for Avengers: Infinity War, too. So she's probably not done with the MCU yet.
