Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 Review: 10 Best Moments
Marvel does it again.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is finally here, and while it doesn't quite reach the same uproarious heights as the first film, it's still a ton of fun, and a more-than-worthy sequel.
James Gunn has ramped up the fanboy-friendly moments, shrewdly exploited Groot's cuteness, and delivered some insane action and devilish plot twists, ensuring Vol. 2 doesn't want for iconic and unforgettable scenes.
If you want twisted humour, awesome action set to incredible music, and a rare Marvel death that actually means something, this film delivers in spades.
These are the 10 best moments you won't be able to stop talking about.
10. Groot & The Severed Toe
After Taserface leads a mutiny against Yondu that causes him, Rocket and Groot to end up as prisoners on-board Yondu's own ship, Yondu and Rocket try to get Groot to help them locate his new prototype fin in order to escape.
Groot, being a baby and, well, stupid, can't understand what either Yondu or Rocket are telling him, and each time comes back with objects that aren't the fin, such as an alien creature, Yondu's underwear, a crew member's fake eyeball, a desk, and eventually, a severed human toe.
Rocket asks Yondu if they've got a refrigerator full of toes on-board the ship, but of course, he hasn't, so insists they never speak of this incident again. How hilariously, dementedly grim.
