3. Too Many Gags Are Spoiled In The Trailers

Comedy films - and usually bad ones - have an awful habit of stuffing their trailers with all of the best jokes in the hope that potential audience members will commit to buying tickets, believing that there will be more of the same in the final film.

That isn't quite the tale of Guardians Of The Galaxy, because there are some jokes that weren't spoiled by the trailers and TV shots, but there is still some frustration in the fact that so many of the good gags are ruined in that marketing material.

We didn't need to see the Mantis/Star-Lord bit, or Groot waving to Gamora during the opening dance/battle sequence, or any of Drax's barbs, but the trailer makers seem to have wanted to show off too much of that jovial spirit. It's a major shame.
