7. Gamora

Why She Might Die

Because right now, it's not entirely clear which Gamora we're getting in Vol 3 (assuming Star-Lord's attempt to find her is even successful, that is). She might have shown some movement towards heroism at the end of Endgame, but as with Loki's time-jump after the events of The Avengers, the version we have in the MCU's present day is one who hasn't gone through everything that turned her into a hero.

In that respect, she could be killed off as a reflection of Gunn's commitment to escalating emotion and drama. And there'd be something poetic about her choosing to die because of the knowledge that her alternate version died in Infinity War.

Why She Could Survive

Well, because she's already JUST died and that might rob her new death of any impact. Also, it makes more sense that we'll see Vol 3 as a proper love story between Star-Lord and Gamora, as he reminds her of why she fell for him. In a non-weird, creepy Passengers sort of way, hopefully.
