Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3 Review: 6 Ups & 4 Downs

1. It's A Fitting, Emotional End To The Trilogy

Even with some of its missteps along the way, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is for the most part a gratifying and affecting ending to the trilogy.

There's little feeling of corporate compromise in how it all wraps up, with Gunn seemingly telling precisely the story he wanted to tell in a way which provides a degree of closure for these characters - yet while leaving the door ajar for potential future adventures.

Given that Guardians of the Galaxy has consistently been the most heartfelt of all the MCU's flagship series, it's fitting that it closes out with a conclusion sure to leave fans wiping away tears while still feeling fulfilled by the journey Gunn took them on.

If this is indeed the last we see of most of these characters, the MCU has a colossal void to fill moving forward. Good luck, Kevin Feige.
