8. Bruce McGill
Despite having over 100 film and television credits to his name,Bruce McGill is still well remembered for his role in National Lampoon's Animal House way back in 1978. In the four decades since, the Texan has gone on to provide support in countless features across almost every genre that range from the very good to the downright terrible. To back this up, here is a list of just
some of the features where you can spot the actor; My Cousin Vinny, Cliffhanger, Timecop, Courage Under Fire, Shallow Hal, The Sum of All Fears, Cinderella Man, Elizabethtown, Law Abiding Citizen and Ride Along to name very, very few. It's almost a given that a large percentage of the cinema-going audience have seen the 63 year-old actor crop up on the big screen at least once given his extensive list of cinematic appearances. McGill has worked with Michael Mann three times (The Insider, Ali, Collateral), both of the Scott brothers (Tony on The Last Boy Scout, Ridley on Matchstick Men) and Steven Spielberg (Lincoln). Often playing an authoritative figure, the actor's body of work is nothing short of staggering, and he shows no signs of slowing down.
