Guy Ritchie back on form with ROCKNROLLA?

Yesterday a poster was snapped by a SlashFilm reader for Guy Ritchie's upcoming flick RockNRolla and today Empire bring us the world exclusive trailer.

The trailer, which you can view here, is our first real glimpse at the Gerard Butler lead movie which, as ever for Ritchie, focuses on crime, corruption and guns... a lot of guns.
London's criminal underworld takes notice of a Russian mobster's shady land deal, a scam that puts millions of dollars up for grabs.
I love the style of the trailer and the poster is probably my favourite of the year thus far. I am a huge fan of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels as well as Ritchie's follow up Snatch. But after hating Revolver (I refuse to watch Swept Away...) I had huge concerns over this project, but I am now convinced this can be a hit and will turn his career back on track. Want more? An AICN reader sent in a review (potential spoilers, I guess) at the turn of the month and some how passed me by...
...I saw ROCKNROLLA, and it kicked MIGHTY ARSE. And while it doesn€™t have the shock of the new, I reckon this is the best of Guy Ritchie€™s good movies. And that bar€™s pretty damn high. I saw it in London, where it€™s set, although the London of the film is totally Ritchiefied. We€™re back in Lock Stock and Snatch territory (thank fuck), where everyone has a name like One-Two or Mumbles, and speaks a deranged mockney argot. Come to think of it, they did that in Revolver too, but here we don€™t have to deal with Jason Statham shouting at his own ego in a lift for minutes that felt like days.
RockNRolla hits UK shores on September 12th 2008 with a US release following on October 31st.
