Halloween: 8 Things We Need In The Next Film
1. Silver Shamrock
For the uninitiated, Halloween III: Season of the Witch focuses entirely on an evil mask-making company called Silver Shamrock, whose master plan is to get all of the children in America to buy and wear their masks on Halloween night, and then to use their masks to kill them all by turning their brains into literal maggots.
In Halloween III, this all took place in an entirely different universe from Michael Myers, one in which the original Halloween film existed merely as a film. However, considering that Halloween 2018 actually does feature some trick-or-treaters wearing the Silver Shamrock masks, the next Halloween film could make a really bold move and turn that Easter Egg into legitimate foreshadowing.
In this freshly retconned timeline, Silver Shamrock and Michael could very well exist side-by-side. Incorporating the evil company into the narrative proper, and all the head-exploding masks and androids that it comes with, would be a gamble - but it would be unbelievably awesome. After years of being the outcast of the franchise, Halloween III is finally getting the re-evaluation it has long deserved from fans and critics alike, so now is the perfect time to bet big on Silver Shamrock.
