Halloween Tribute: 10 Horror Movies With Disembodied Hands

1. Evil Dead II (1987)

In the second film of the Evil Dead trilogy, Ash takes his latest squeeze to a secluded cabin in the woods. In the cabin is a tape player with a recording of a professor reading passages from The Book of the Dead. The spell being read conjures up some evil forces, including one that takes possession of Ash's hand. In an effort to fight the possession, Ash severs his own appendage, and a running battle with the demon claw and the rest of the evil spirits takes us through the remainder of the film. This cult classic is a must-see, although fans of the original Evil Dead might be disappointed that the scariest movie of all time (I mean The Evil Dead, of course) is followed by this comedic horror film. I think I've covered most of the severed hand horror movies out there with the possible exception of a few foreign films I haven't seen. Did I miss any good English-language films?
