Han Solo Movie: 5 Reasons To Be Excited (And 5 To Be Worried)

1. The Lack Of Trailer (Or Hype Of Any Kind) This Close To Release

A trailer was going to be released with The Last Jedi. Then it was going to come at the end of December. Then it was going to debut on Good Morning America on Friday 12 January. Then before Maze Runner: The Death Cure. Now it looks like a 30-second Super Bowl spot, with a full trailer to follow on Monday.

The general idea, then, is that it'll be here soon, and hopefully will clear up a number of these lingering worries about the film. But it's also not a great sign for a movie to have no trailer this close to release date, unless you're going for some sort of Bad Robot covert marketing, which isn't really Lucasfilm's MO. The fact that there's been no trailer, not even a teaser or a poster beyond the title, means there's a real lack of hype or just actual awareness of the film, and raises concerns about its quality.

Hopefully it will arrive on Monday and then erase all these lingering doubts. I wonder what the odds of that happening are.
