Han Solo Movie: 5 Reasons To Be Excited (And 5 To Be Worried)
2. Disney Haven't Dropped The Ball Yet
Admittedly this one is a more debatable issue, since Rian Johnson's The Last Jedi has proved so divisive, but largely Disney's handling of Star Wars shows they know what they're doing with the galaxy's biggest franchise.
The Force Awakens was a crowd-pleasing hit that, while it did stray a little too closely to the original Star Wars, introduced a brilliant raft of new characters, revived the franchise, and (perhaps most importantly) had that true Star Wars feel. Rogue One put the war into Star Wars more than any other film in the franchise, enhanced A New Hope with its setup, and gave us some of Darth Vader's greatest on-screen moments. The Last Jedi, at least from the point-of-view of someone who rated it, pushed the franchise in bold new directions while playing to core themes of the saga.
Disney might be a money-making machine, but with that generally comes an expected level of quality, because they've shown (and certainly Kathleen Kennedy has) that they know how to protect their product from failing, and it'd take something to really go wrong for them to now deliver a bad Star Wars movie.
