Harry spent much of his sixth year obsessed with Malfoy. Though he didn’t have definitive proof, he was convinced he had become a Death Eater and was working for Lord Voldemort.

Determined to find out more information, Harry confronted Draco in one of the Hogwarts bathrooms and the pair of them were soon locked in a ferocious duel. Their fight ended with Harry’s use of the spell Sectumsempra, which caused Malfoy to collapse and bleed excessively.

Had Snape not arrived on the scene in a matter of seconds, Malfoy would have bled to death. In Harry’s defence, this was the first time he used Sectumsempra, so he was unaware it was such a dark and powerful spell. The fact remains, however, that he nearly killed one of his fellow pupils by using some exceptionally dark magic.
