Harry Potter: 10 Magical Potions With CRAZY Effects

5. Strengthening Solution

Effect: Gives the user increased levels of strength.

Seen In: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (novel/video game), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (video game), Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery.

Another potion that does exactly what it says on the bottle, the Strengthening Solution will simply make the user stronger.

In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, it's mentioned that Professor Snape taught this potion to Harry and his class (much to Umbridge's chagrin), but Harry, never one to jive well with the subject of potion-brewing, ended up spoiling his.

While it's unlikely that the concoction imbues the drinker with Incredible Hulk-levels of physical prowess, it could probably help someone increase their bench press by a couple of kilograms, or allow them to smash watermelons with their bare hands.

You know - small steps, not humongous leaps.

Combine this one with the Ageing Potion and the Brain Elixir, though, and you could turn a scrawny Hogwarts youngster into a brainy, twenty-something bodybuilder in ten seconds flat. Now there's an idea for an unstoppable wizard army.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
