Harry Potter: 10 Most Hated Characters Who Aren’t Villains

Cho Chang was a headache for Harry to deal with, but the worst girlfriend in the entire series has to be Lavender Brown.

Before Harry’s sixth year, Lavender was essentially a background character. After Ron’s terrific performance as Gryffindor Keeper, however, she starts dating him and is frequently featured throughout The Half-Blood Prince.

Her fixation with her new boyfriend drives everyone mad, including Ron in the end. As well as constantly referring to her lover as ‘Won-Won’, she also buys him a necklace featuring the phrase, ‘My Sweetheart’.

Worst of all, her relationship with Ron makes Hermione incredibly angry. And given Ron had agreed to go to Slughorn’s party with Hermione, she didn’t deserve to be let down in such a brutal fashion.

Why Ron wanted to go out with Lavender in the first place will always be a mystery. Their relationship is based entirely on physical attraction and their personalities are completely different. Ron is a brave, amusing, good-natured young man, whilst Lavender is an immature and whiny teenager.
