The ridicule and slander Harry is forced to endure in his fifth year is replaced by love and respect in The Half-Blood Prince. And though he’s much happier, he still receives some unwanted attention.

Romilda Vane is one of several girls who becomes infatuated with Harry in his sixth year. Her desire to catch his attention grows wearisome rather quickly, and she even tries to slip him a powerful love potion at one point.

Harry avoids the effects of said potion when Ron accidentally takes it instead. But regardless of who ended up consuming the potion, it’s still a deeply immoral thing to do. Using magic to make someone fall in love with you is a nasty infringement upon their personal liberty, and there should be tighter laws around the use of such potions.

Romilda doesn’t make another appearance after this amusing event. Based on the little we see of her, she’s a bold and deceitful young woman with no sense of morality.
